Role Overview
We are seeking a board-certified Consultant Pediatric Gastroenterologist fluent in Arabic to join a leading tertiary care hospital in Dubai. The ideal candidate will specialize in diagnosing and managing complex gastrointestinal, hepatic, and nutritional disorders in children, with a strong commitment to culturally sensitive care and multidisciplinary collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
We are seeking a board-certified Consultant Pediatric Gastroenterologist fluent in Arabic to join a leading tertiary care hospital in Dubai. The ideal candidate will specialize in diagnosing and managing complex gastrointestinal, hepatic, and nutritional disorders in children, with a strong commitment to culturally sensitive care and multidisciplinary collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and manage pediatric GI conditions, including GERD, IBD, celiac disease, liver disorders, and motility issues
- Perform and interpret diagnostic procedures such as upper/lower endoscopy, pH monitoring, and breath tests
- Collaborate with dietitians, pediatric surgeons, radiologists, and immunologists for integrated care
- Provide inpatient and outpatient consultations, including emergency GI assessments
- Educate families on disease management, nutrition, and long-term care plans
- Participate in clinical audits, CME activities, and pediatric GI research initiatives
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with DHA regulations
- Medical degree (MD or equivalent) from an accredited institution
- Board certification in Pediatric Gastroenterology (American Board or equivalent)
- Minimum 5 years post-specialization experience in a tertiary or academic hospital setting
- Fluent in Arabic (spoken and written)
- Eligible for DHA Consultant licensure (Dubai Health Authority)
- Strong diagnostic, procedural, and communication skills
- Culturally sensitive and family-centered approach to care
- Tax-free salary: AED 75,000–90,000/month (commensurate with experience)
