Launched in 2019, Taptap is tapping into a transformative shift in global finance: from banks to phones. You will be joining Taptap Send’s product team, which is responsible for building features and products all over the world. This will be the first product hire based in our Dubai office.

You will have responsibility for the full-stack of the product, from strategy to execution and scaling. Your role will be central to translating our customer and internal needs into a roadmap, and then working with engineering, legal and compliance, markets, and other functions to execute against it.

An ideal candidate will have meaningful experience at a growing startup in the GCC region. They will want to spend time with our customers and be as fluent in user interviews and UX as analytics and SQL. They will also have deep experience working with external stakeholders on partnerships enabling our product as well as engineers to bring them to life.

Perhaps most centrally, they will have an ability to think holistically, quickly identify problems, simplify and find practical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Define implementation plans, including timing and resource requirements
• Evaluate local nuances and requirements for launching in new GCC markets
• Identify and grow partnerships with vendors and other 3rd parties enabling key product features
• Write product specs to maximize efficiency of builds
• Identify opportunities for improvements that will scale product launches faster through analytics and customer interviews
• Filter ideas for products improvements through customer interviews, stakeholders conversations, industry benchmarking, and analysis
• Collaborate across design, engineering, compliance, operations, markets, etc. to execute effectively
  
  

Requirements

• 8 years’ experience working in product management or a related field for top tier companies
• Fluency in Arabic
• Experience in startup environments strongly preferred, bonus points for fintech
• Experience with immigrant communities and empathy for our customers
• Strong analytical skills and commercial instincts
• Experience with SQL and/or Mixpanel
• Outstanding project management skills, including end-to-end problem ownership
• Background or degree in a technical field a strong plus
• UX design instincts
