OBJECTIVE


The Project Manager role is primarily responsible for leading and overseeing the successful planning, execution, and delivery of projects within scope, budget, and timeline while ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and stakeholder expectations. This role involves managing cross-functional teams, mitigating risks, and driving process improvements to optimize project outcomes. The Project Manager will also be responsible for stakeholder communication, resource planning, and fostering a high-performance culture within the project team.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


Project Management:


  • Lead and manage end-to-end project delivery, ensuring adherence to project scope, timelines, and budgets.
  • Define project objectives, key deliverables, success criteria, and risk management plans.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and status reports, ensuring continuous tracking of project progress.
  • Implement risk mitigation strategies to proactively address potential project roadblocks.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Foster a collaborative environment to ensure seamless integration of project workstreams.

Client Engagement and Stakeholder Management:


  • Act as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, ensuring clear and consistent communication.
  • Work closely with clients and internal teams to understand business needs and tailor project solutions accordingly.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations, addressing concerns, and resolving conflicts proactively.
  • Conduct post-project evaluations, gathering feedback for continuous improvement.

Team Leadership and Development:


  • Lead, mentor, and develop project team members, fostering a culture of accountability and high performance.
  • Allocate resources effectively, balancing workload distribution across teams.

Provide coaching and support for team members when required.


Operational Excellence:


  • Implement and refine project management methodologies, tools, and best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Identify and drive process improvements to streamline workflows and optimize resource utilization.
  • Ensure quality assurance by enforcing project governance standards and maintaining compliance with best practices.

Financial and Resource Management:


  • Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effective resource allocation and expenditure control.
  • Track project financials, including forecasting, invoicing, and financial reporting.
  • Identify opportunities for revenue growth through effective project scoping and resource utilization.

Collaboration and Cross-Functional Engagement:


  • Work closely with TESS internal Business Operations, Customer Excellence and Service Delivery teams as well as Business Unit teams to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Contribute to pre-project delivery activities, including solution design, proposal development, and feasibility assessments.
  • Represent the project management function in cross-functional meetings, providing insights and recommendations.

Quality Assurance:


  • Establish and maintain quality control measures to ensure project deliverables meet stakeholder expectations.
  • Conduct regular audits, reviews, and performance assessments to drive continuous improvement.
  • Maintain documentation and reporting structures to track project success and areas for enhancement.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:


  • Project Management Expertise: Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.) and best practices.
  • Stakeholder Management: Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Leadership and Team Development: Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop project teams in dynamic and remote environments.
  • Analytical Thinking: Proficient in data analysis, KPI tracking, and decision-making based on project metrics.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to risk mitigation.
  • Adaptability: Ability to navigate complex and changing project landscapes with flexibility and resilience.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8 to 10 years of experience in project management, consulting, or related fields, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Project Management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile) or relevant industry certifications preferred.
  • Proficiency in project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Asana, Jira, or equivalent.
