Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Specialist – Construction & Interior Fit-Out to support and deliver complex construction and interior fit-out projects across the UAE. This is a hands-on, site-based role requiring strong technical knowledge, commercial awareness, and end-to-end project coordination capabilities across civil, fit-out, and MEP works.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience working on live construction and fit-out sites in the UAE, with the ability to manage planning, execution, procurement, cost control, stakeholder coordination, and handover activities in compliance with local authority regulations and project standards.

Key Responsibilities

Project Execution & Site Management

  • Manage and coordinate on-site execution of construction, interior fit-out, civil, and MEP works from initiation through handover.
  • Monitor daily site activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, schedules, and quality standards.
  • Interface with contractors, consultants, suppliers, and authorities to resolve technical, operational, and sequencing issues.
  • Lead snagging, inspections, testing, commissioning coordination, and handover processes.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, records, and site reports.

Technical & Design Coordination

  • Review and interpret IFC drawings, shop drawings, RCPs, and technical specifications.
  • Coordinate closely with MEP teams to ensure integrated and clash-free execution.
  • Support technical clarifications, site instructions, and drawing approvals.
  • Ensure execution aligns with design intent and approved specifications.

Planning, Scheduling & Reporting

  • Develop, update, and monitor project schedules using MS Project, Primavera, or equivalent tools.
  • Track progress against milestones and identify schedule risks or delays.
  • Prepare detailed progress reports, look-ahead plans, and status updates for stakeholders.

Commercial, Procurement & Contract Management

  • Support and manage cost control, budgeting, and financial tracking activities.
  • Handle procurement processes including RFPs, MREs, LPOs, GRNs, and BOQ reviews.
  • Assist in contract administration, variations, claims management, and commercial documentation.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure timely material delivery and scope compliance.

Quality, Safety & Regulatory Compliance

  • Ensure works comply with approved designs, specifications, quality standards, and HSE requirements.
  • Support risk assessments, method statements, and safety coordination on site.
  • Ensure compliance with UAE authority regulations and approval processes (e.g., Dubai Municipality, Dubai Civil Defense, and relevant local authorities).
  • Participate in audits, inspections, and authority walkthroughs as required.

Leadership & Stakeholder Coordination

  • Coordinate and support multi-disciplinary teams including civil, fit-out, and MEP contractors.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills in a site environment.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders through clear reporting and documentation.

Mandatory Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture.
  • 5–10 years of proven UAE-based experience within construction and interior fit-out projects.
  • Hands-on site experience across civil, fit-out, and MEP coordination works.
  • Strong experience in interior fit-out execution, including finishes, joinery, and interface with MEP services.
  • Proven experience in planning and scheduling using MS Project, Primavera, or similar tools.
  • Demonstrated experience in cost control, budgeting, procurement, and contract administration.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret IFC drawings, shop drawings, RCPs, and technical specifications.
  • Solid understanding of UAE authority regulations and approval processes.
  • Valid UAE Driving Licence (mandatory).

Important Note for Applicants

This role requires hands-on site-based project delivery experience in the UAE across construction and interior fit-out works. Candidates with design-only, office-based, or non-UAE project experience will not be considered.
