Kindly Note: We are currently in a stage bidding for a Water Transmission project and are optimistic about being awarded the contract. In preparation, we have initiated the process of reviewing, shortlisting, and interviewing potential candidates to ensure readiness. Upon confirmation of the project being awarded, we will begin mobilizing the selected candidates to commence project execution.

Job Purpose

The Program Risk Manager will oversee the Project Risk Management system.

This is a PMC role, and there will be multiple Supervision Consultants and EPC`s appointed directly by the Client. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all risk management requirements on the large-scale water transmission projects in Abu Dhabi. This role involves risk identification, risk allocation and mitigation as well as strategic planning, and collaboration with various stakeholders to effectively manage and mitigate project risks. Development and implementation of a program wide lessons learned data base and communication to the wider project teams.

Job Responsibilities

  • Identifies potential risks to the program and develops strategies to mitigate them, maintains overall risk register.
  • Coordinate with project stakeholders, including clients, supervision consultants, contractors, vendors and regulatory authorities to ensure alignment and compliance with project risk requirements.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of project risk management plans, processes and procedures.
  • Provide leadership and direction to project teams, fostering a culture of risk awareness and continuous improvement.
  • Monitors project risk mitigation progress and team performance, implementing corrective actions as necessary to address any deviations from the project plans.
  • Prepare and present regular project risk reports to senior management and the client, detailing progress, challenges and solutions.
  • Guide and mentor project team members, promoting professional development and knowledge sharing.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients and other stakeholders to maintain project support and mitigate any concerns.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 10+ years of experience
  • Proven experience in a similar role on programmes

Technical Skills

  • In-depth knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
  • Proficiency in project scheduling and resource management.
  • Proficiency in risk management tools like ARM or Primavera Risk Analysis.

Soft Skills

  • Exceptional leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • A proactive approach to risk management and conflict resolution.
