Job Summary
Trane in Dubai hiring for Sales Engineer - Energy Solutions to join the newly formed Trane Solutions team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing trusting customer relationships and maximizing account share and customer retention with building owner accounts in Dubai and Northern Emirates.
Responsibilities
- Proactively identify, respond to and win modernization (replacement) projects for chillers, heat pumps, airside, DX & related HVAC accessories to include; identifying bid opportunities, preparing bid responses, negotiating with potential customers, building and maintaining customer relationships.
- Generate and convert leads into opportunities by assigning the appropriate sales process.
- Carry out site audits (along with fulfilment team) and suggest new ideas for site improvements to our existing customers or any new customer who has active installation base.
- General understanding of contract terms and/or language.
- Review and discuss everything with customer regarding the quotations and contracts.
- Create and communicate leads and sales opportunities for entire TRANE sales team (e.g. cross-selling).
- Accountable for hand-over of won project to installation, maintenance and/or engineering with complete and correct information.
- Maintains full information of opportunities, tasks and visits.
- Timely and accurate reporting.
- Supporting the finance function in money collection from customers.
- Provide knowledge and consultation in the form of developing HVAC solutions for the customer’s problems, including financial and performance-based considerations.
- Identify and position a unique value proposition directly with an owner.
- Approach new prospects and identify business opportunities through pro-active acquisition techniques.
- Gathers or validates preliminary information and performs facility walk-through to identify energy saving opportunities.
- Understand and present value of energy and operational savings and basic financial sales understanding.
- Meet or exceed sales and gross margin annual targets.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, engineering technology, or equivalent from a four-year college or university preferred.
- Minimum 3 - 5 years sales experience in selling HVAC systems and solutions.
- Have a complexity knowledge of HVAC system (Chillers, Heat Pumps, Airside, etc.) - heating and cooling systems.
- Proven success in the aftermarket and existing building sector.
- Must have Dubai & Norther Emirates market experience.
- Knowledge of control systems is an advantage.
- Experience in the industrial sector is an advantage.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
