- Write or review security-related documents, such as incident reports, proposals, and tactical or strategic initiatives
- Maintain training curriculum and train/retrain department team members or/and other Colleagues in security as well as emergency rules and procedures and monitor readiness in the event of any emergency
- Lead and conduct regular reviews, ensure that programs/procedures are in place to address most expected circumstances in the event of an emergency
- Initiate/ lead appropriate loss recovery actions necessary to protect the park from further additional losses and/or coordinate implementation of emergency plan, crisis management, emergency, and evacuation drills
- Plan and supply security for special and high-risk events
- Review financial reports to ensure efficiency and quality of security operations
- Develop budgets for security operations and future projects.
- Order security-related supplies and equipment as needed
- Work with the rest of the department head in maintaining and updating property loss and prevention program
- Establish, oversee, and maintain control of departmental keys to ensure that only the assigned/authorized personnel have access
- Maintain control of master key inventories and ensure the proper whereabouts/existence of all master keys
- Establish and oversee key, access control, video surveillance and safety alarms or other devices including management plans around and within the leisure facility building and perimeter
- Control access to critical areas where the need for access arises outside of normal operating hours for that area
- Report, track and evaluate all incidents and determine course of action. Ensure that all reports are completed properly and in a timely manner to ensure that all matters are duly communicated, and all necessary actions are commenced as soon as required
- Monitor and support security-related processes for protecting classified, proprietary, and sensitive information, including processes for Colleagues’ disciplinary hearing, leavers’ clearance, etc.
- Act as liaison between leisure facility and any governmental agencies such as police and Civil Defense
- Implement policies and procedures ensuring that the leisure facility maintains full compliance with all legislative acts and regulations
- Establish and maintain procedures to prevent any internal theft/losses and ensure that all items are properly returned to the rightful owner upon enquiries and verifications being made
- Establish and maintain procedures for the escort of Colleagues transporting large sums of money.
- Establish and maintain policy for Colleagues’ locker control
- Establish and maintain policy for spot checks of Colleagues/ contractors carrying parcels when entering/ departing leisure facility to ensure that there is no security breach and that only personal property is being taken
- Establish and maintain systems/procedures to ensure that both regular and irregular patrols of entire complex are completed to maximum potential, warding off intruders
- Discover source of security breach to prevent any sort of crime and coordinate investigation of all acts of misconduct, or any losses incurred against by guests, patrons Colleagues and contractors to determine who’s responsible and proceed with any necessary prosecution/recover of losses
- Personally conduct security responses such as door lock readings, CCTV surveillance equipment, etc. to handle sensitive investigations
- Assist in establishing and maintaining procedures to ensure that specific actions will take place in the event of any emergency
- Ensure that all required checks, tests, and inspections are completed in a timely manner where required to ensure compliance with all code and regulation requirements and ensure that all records are properly maintained as required
- Work in coordination with the HSE Senior Manager and other senior leaders regarding implementation of actions necessary to minimize any potential claims.
- Ensure and coordinate with the park management smooth confidential visit for all VIP’s.
- Maintain responsibility for payroll and department manning.
- Review daily activities of the department on all shifts (administrative/ operational/financial) and ensure that they perform, and everything runs to set standards.
- Complete regular performance management/appraisals for Security team and conduct corrective interviews with Colleagues where necessary
- Establish and maintain effective means of communication and working rapport with staff/management of other departments
- Perform other duties as may be assigned by the park or General Manager and/or senior leadership team
- Review all Security Systems designs and layout especially during the assets preponing phase, provide feedback to ensure that all systems follow code requirement and operational needs.
- Carry out the duty Manager Role when assigned.
- Review All Security Service contracts to ensure efficiency is maintained and operational requirements are met.
- Create the Access Control levels for Departments, Colleagues and Contractors.
- Work in coordination with the HSE Senior Manager to conduct Full Park Evacuation drills and Zonal Evacuations.
- Work Closely with the Leadership team of the other departments to determine their Security operational needs.
- Managing and organizing tasks required in the security department to support the overall objectives.
- Manages the team scheduling, work assignments, communication, and personnel development.
- High School Diploma, with essential certification related to security trainings (e.g., Basic Security Training)
- 5 years of Security background working experience in hospitality/leisure industry with 2 years of middle management role experience
- 2 Years experience in the UAE or Middle East.
