Job description

Journal Entries and Reconciliations:

Maintaining and updating cheque payments, deposits, and entries 

Maintaining and updating bank entries, Daily Bank reconciliation, ledger reconciliation 

Manage General Ledger Journal entries, cash balances and ensuring accuracy of information 

Entries of creditor invoices 

Corresponding with customers and vendors for the Payments and receipts

Monthly/Yearly Books closing:

Monitor petty cash payments and balances with staff 

Manage and ensure timely voucher submissions and entries by operations 

Monitoring the invoicing of completed jobs by operations, and the receipt of closed files 

Ensuring all payments receipts pertaining to a file is available, entries are done, costs are compared, file is complete and closed on an accounts level 

Coordinate with the admin to ensure all AMCs, licenses, Insurance and any renewal and maintenance of assets are done timely and cost effectively

Intercompany Accounts Monitoring

Finalization and closing monthly Books and preparing MIS reports and other ad-hoc reports as requested by the management 

Preparing for year-end auditing processes and submission of audit reports 

Maintain fixed assets register and proper depreciation of assets on a monthly basis 

Prepare and analyze cash flow statements and provide suggestions to management 

Manage the payables and receivables to ensure smooth cash flow 

Manage the payroll in the system and process salaries and leave salaries on time and payments through WIP Managing and monitoring trade finance activities with the bank such as Overdrafts and Bank Guarantees 

Required Skills:

Through knowledge of accounting practices and compliance.

Critical thinking with an eye for details to identify patterns and problem solving attitute

Ability to analyze data using variety tools specifically MS Excel

Proven work experience as a team leader with decision making ability

Requirement:

Chartered Accountant, Inter-CA or professional degree in Finance and accounting field will be preferred.

Bachelor's degree or MBA in Finance and accounting field with 7+ years of experience. 

Prior experience in logistics and shipping industry is highly appreciated.
