Aldar Education is currently seeking a Senior Accountant for Muna British Academy in Abu Dhabi commencing immediately.
Since our establishment in 2009, we have built and maintained a strong reputation for excellence, consistently achieving an Outstanding ADEK rating since 2015. In August 2025, Muna British Academy relocated to a state-of-the-art campus in the prestigious Saadiyat Lagoons community. This move has enabled us to expand our provision-now welcoming students from FS1 to Year 7, with plans to extend to Year 13 in the near future-within an inspiring environment that supports our mission of delivering exceptional education.

Responsibilities
Main Duties :
- Perform all finance related activities assigned to the schools such as preparation of school budget, budget control, closing the books accurately and on timely manner, prepare School MIS, bank reconciliation and handling petty cash. Finance point of contact for all matters related to school financial operations.
- Review and approve Purchase Requisitions for budget availability and budget codes.
- Process supplier payments via 3-way matching (Invoice, PO & GRN) on time with proper due diligence checks and validation.
- Ensure supplier accounts are reconciled and highlighted to the respective departments for any unreconciled transaction for further action.
- Manage petty cash as per policy to meet business requirements.
- Asset creation, depreciation run and closing of FA module on monthly basis.
- Manage month end closing activities accurately and on a timely manner.
- Prepare monthly MIS report and review with Assistant Finance Manager.
- Circulate and present monthly MIS to Principal and OSM for decision making.
- Prepare monthly balance sheet schedules and review with Assistant Finance Manager.
- Prepare bank reconciliation statement and review with AFM and submit to AE Group Finance Treasury team.
- Ensure P&L and balance sheet accounts are accurate by clearing all unreconciled balances.
- Provide necessary support to prepare annual school budget along with details with regards to the school expenses in coordination with school and HQ Finance team.
- Support with internal and external audit by providing audit LOR.
- Responsible to meet adhoc reporting requirements from internal departments & HQ.
- Initiate process improvement wherever possible to achieve school finance excellence.
- Handle exceptional queries from parent and resolve them appropriately and on timely manner.
- Support other schools in absence of School Accountant.
Minimum Qualification:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- Minimum 2 year’s experience in school finance function
- Advanced Accounting Principals.
- Advanced Communication and Presentation skills.
- Advanced Administration skills.
- Average Accounting Software.
