WSP are seeking an experienced Senior Infrastructure Design Manager to join our Transport & Infrastructure business unit in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the design and delivery of large-scale infrastructure projects, including roads, highways, and related transportation assets. This role requires a highly skilled professional with a minimum of 15 years of experience, including extensive Abu Dhabi project experience and a deep understanding of local authority regulations and approvals.

Your new role, what's involved?

• Lead the design management of major infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with client requirements, industry standards, and regulatory approvals.
• Oversee the technical design process for roads, highways, and associated infrastructure, coordinating across multidisciplinary teams.
• Act as the primary technical liaison with clients, government authorities, and stakeholders, ensuring smooth project progression.
• Manage design consultants, reviewing and approving technical submissions, feasibility studies, and design reports.
• Ensure adherence to ADQCC, ADM, ITC, DOT, and other Abu Dhabi regulatory authority requirements.
• Lead and mentor project teams, providing technical guidance and driving best practices in design and project execution.
• Oversee project schedules, budgets, and quality standards to ensure successful on-time and within-budget delivery.
• Support business development efforts, including proposals, bids, and client presentations.
• Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies to address technical and regulatory challenges.
  
  

We'd love to hear from you if you have:

• Minimum 15 years of experience in infrastructure design, with a strong focus on roads and highways.
• Extensive Abu Dhabi experience, with a deep understanding of local authority regulations, standards, and approval processes.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline; a Master’s degree is preferred.
• Chartered Engineer (CEng) or Professional Engineer (PE) accreditation is a plus.
• Strong expertise in infrastructure planning, design, and delivery within a consultancy environment.
• Proven leadership and stakeholder management skills, with experience leading multidisciplinary design teams.
• Proficiency in relevant design software such as Civil 3D, MX Roads, OpenRoads, or similar.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage with clients and authorities effectively.
