Job Summary
We are seeking a seasoned finance professional to join our team as a Treasury Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Lead, Providing strategic financial evaluation and support for Treasury Profit & Loss (P&L), forecasting and planning activities. The role will involve performance advisory to Transaction Monitoring and Client Technology Team (TM and CT), contributing to financial resource optimization, Forex (FX) hedging and driving initiatives to improve Return on Tangible Equity (RoTE). The successful candidate will manage key Treasury Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) projects, collaborate on modelling and forecasting solutions and support financial planning across cluster markets.

Key Responsibilities
- Performance Evaluation and Advisory to Transaction Monitoring and Client Technology Team (TM and CT):
- Provide Treasury Profit & Loss (P&L) analysis and support in financial resources optimisation (structural hedging, credit insurance, structural Forex (FX) hedging, etc).
- Provide impactful financial insights for decision making and support/drive various projects or franchise initiatives on balance sheet and performance to improve Return on Tangible Equity (RoTE).
- Treasury Planning and Forecasting for Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A):
- Lead on Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) related processes such as outlooks, target setting and corporate planning including income, balance sheet and Risk-Weighted Assets (RWA).
- Collaborate with Modelling and Forecasting Solutions team to implement a Treasury income forecasting process to support financial planning for key markets in the cluster.
- Embed Central & Others (C&O) Treasury allocations and coordinate amongst Finance stakeholders.
- Partner with Product Control on the cadence of daily and monthly reported Treasury Financials
- Stakeholder Engagement & Best Practices:
- Work closely with Finance colleagues, clarifying “hand off” and “hand in” points to embed a successful, clearly defined Treasury Business Finance role without duplication or gaps between teams.
- Build strong relationships with Treasury and Finance stakeholders, driving best practices and continuous improvement.
- Represent Treasury Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) in cross-functional groups and support Treasury initiatives in the region.

- Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.
- Cluster Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Africa; Cluster Chief Financial Offer (CFO) Middle East and Pakistan; Head of Management Reporting, Group FP&A
- Managing Director (MD), Cluster Treasurer, Africa and Middle East (AME); Managing Director (MD), Head, Global Liquidity Management, and Head, Treasury Markets Middle East, North Africa and Pakistan (MENAP); Managing Director (MD), Head, Treasury Markets, Africa
- Embed Here for good and Group’s brand and values; Perform other responsibilities assigned under Group, Country, Business or Functional policies and procedures;

- Detailed understanding of International Financial Reporting Standard 9 (IFRS9) accounting and Substantiation of Balance sheet
- Balance sheet and Profit & Loss (P&L) reporting
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. Chartered Accountant (CA), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or relevant postgraduate qualification is preferred.
- Minimum of 7-8 years of experience in Finance, preferably in a Global Bank
- Previous experience in Treasury, Treasury Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) and / or Business Finance role/s preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights for strategic decision-making.
- Proven experience in forecasting and performance management, including solid knowledge of balance sheet and Risk-Weighted Assets (RWA) management.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with senior stakeholders.
- Data management skills (Structured Query Language (SQL) and/or Visualisation Tools) would be advantageous
