Senior Mechanical Rotating / Material Handling Engineer

Job Description

Wood is currently recruiting for a PMC Senior Mechanical Rotating / Material Handling Engineer with extensive experience in the oil and gas petrochemical industry.

Responsibilities

• Review of Mechanical Equipment Specifications and updating the Specifications in line with latest international design codes
• Prepare and check equipment specifications and datasheets
• Preparation of mechanical design documentation for tendering and procurement
• Package management including review and approval of vendor documents
• Defining equipment test requirements and review of test procedures
• Preparation of mechanical design documentation for tendering and procurement
• Package management and review of vendor document review
  
  

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institute (or equivalent)
• Minimum of 15 years’ experience in major oil / gas projects in similar position or lead / principal engineer with engineering contractor / PMC organization
• Fully conversant with international design codes for pressure vessels, heat exchangers and storage tanks
• Proficient in rotating equipment design software for mechanical design
• Experience in Bulk material handling, Stacker / Reclaimer and ship loading
• Experience in defining equipment test requirements and review of test procedures
• Should be pragmatic, self-motivated and demonstrate initiative.
• Able to present and write technical reports in fluent English.
• Expected to take ownership of issues and follow them through to completion.
• Willingness to interact directly with people.
• Good presentation skills.
• Ability to work in an organised and structured fashion, and within time constraints.
