Key Responsibilities
- Analyze, interpret, and integrate open-hole and advanced logging data.
- Estimate key petrophysical parameters: porosity, permeability, water saturation, and free water level.
- Develop capillary pressure models and map fluid contacts.
- Identify log-facies, lithofacies, and hydrocarbon-bearing zones.
- Perform reservoir rock typing by integrating static and dynamic data.
- Provide petrophysical input for geological and simulation models.
- Design formation evaluation programs for drilling activities.
- Plan and integrate core analysis programs, including SCAL stewardship.
- Conduct reservoir and formation petrophysics studies within multidisciplinary teams.
- Mentor and develop junior technical staff.
- Bachelor’s degree in Geological Sciences (Master’s or Ph.D. preferred).
- 15+ years of experience in formation evaluation and petrophysical studies.
- Proficiency in log analysis and related software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Solid knowledge of stratigraphy, seismic interpretation, formation evaluation, petrophysics, production geology, and reservoir engineering.
- Experience collaborating with geologic modelers and simulation engineers.
- Strong understanding of fluid properties and PVT analysis.
- Familiarity with geological and reservoir simulation modeling.
- Geolog and/or Techlog
- Petrel
- Emeraude
- Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
