Senior Trader in our office in Dubai.
Responsibilities:
P&L Ownership & Risk Management
- Risk oversight for key asset classes (FX, Indices, Commodities, Equities), ensuring optimal profitability while adhering to firm-wide risk appetite.
- Oversee real-time risk monitoring and hedging strategies; adjust market exposure dynamically to reflect market conditions and internal objectives.
Execution & Pricing Oversight
- Oversee order execution quality across internal and external venues; continuously refine routing logic and price distribution mechanisms.
Operational Excellence
- Champion process automation and trading desk scalability by working with developers and system architects.
- Ensure robust documentation and maintenance of dealing room operating procedures and trading workflows.
Cross-Departmental Collaboration
- Liaise with B2C, B2B, and Institutional Sales and Business Development teams to align pricing strategy, liquidity provision, and product requirements with commercial goals.
- Work closely with Compliance and Legal to ensure trading practices meet global regulatory standards (e.g., MiFID II, ESMA, DFSA, etc.).
Strategic Trading Initiatives
- Work together with Quantitative Research, Risk, and Technology teams to design and refine algorithmic pricing, auto-hedging, and execution tools.
- Lead initiatives to enhance book segmentation, client tiering, and internalization efficiency.
Leadership & Mentoring
- Lead and mentor junior traders and dealing desk staff to ensure consistency in execution, adherence to best practices, and continued development of team capability.
Skills & Competencies
- Deep knowledge of multi-asset market making and risk warehousing
- Expertise in trade execution, order flow analysis, and client behavior analytics
- High technical literacy in trading platforms (MT4/5) and pricing engines platforms (e.g. OneZero, PXM, FlexTrade)
- Strong analytical capabilities with a proactive, data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Excellent communication skills and cross-functional stakeholder engagement
Experience Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in CFD trading, preferably within a regulated broker or market-making firm
- Proven track record managing P&L and delivering trading desk profitability
- Proficient in Excel/VBA; experience with SQL, Python, or other scripting languages a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field
