Role Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Transport Modeler to join our Dubai office. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering Traffic Impact Studies (TIS) in compliance with Dubai authority requirements, with excellent understanding and expertise in using the Dubai Strategic Transport Model (DSTM). This position requires both technical expertise and regulatory knowledge, with preference for candidates who are RTA-approved Transport Modelers.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver Traffic Impact Studies (TIS) using the Dubai Strategic Transport Model (DSTM).
• Ensure TIS submissions meet the standards and requirements of the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA).
• Develop and calibrate transport models to forecast traffic demand and assess network performance.
• Apply advanced transport planning and traffic analysis tools such as PTV VISUM, VISSIM, VISTRO, SYNCHRO, and SIDRA.
• Conduct data analysis, scenario testing, and sensitivity assessments to support transport planning decisions.
• Prepare clear, concise technical reports and presentations for clients and authorities.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and provide technical guidance to junior staff.
• Maintain strong relationships with RTA and other stakeholders to facilitate project approvals.
  
  
  

Qualifications And Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Transport Planning, or related discipline (Master’s degree preferred).
• Minimum of 8 years’ professional experience, with proven expertise in Traffic Impact Studies (TIS) in Dubai.
• Hands-on experience using the Dubai Strategic Transport Model (DSTM) for TIS delivery.
• Preferably RTA-approved Transport Modeler.
• Proficiency in traffic engineering and analysis software, including:
• PTV Software Suite: VISUM, VISSIM, VISTRO
• Traffic analysis tools: SYNCHRO, SIDRA
  
• Strong quantitative and data analysis skills.
• Excellent technical writing and communication skills in English.
• Previous consulting or advisory experience is highly desirable.
