Position Overview
KILONEWTONS is seeking a visionary Set Designer to create immersive environments for our high-profile events and productions in Dubai. You'll transform concepts into breathtaking physical realities.
Key Responsibilities
Design and execute innovative sets for events, exhibitions, and installations
Create detailed technical drawings and 3D renderings
Collaborate with directors, producers, and architects
Source materials and oversee set construction
Manage budgets and timelines for design projects
Supervise set installation and strike operations
Ensure designs meet safety and functionality requirements
Stay updated on design trends and new technologies
Required Skills & Software
5+ years professional set design experience
Mastery of AutoCAD, SketchUp, and 3D rendering software
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator)
Strong freehand sketching and model-making skills
Knowledge of materials, construction techniques, and props
Understanding of lighting and spatial design principles
Project management and problem-solving abilities
Bonus Qualifications
Experience with VR/AR design tools
Background in theater, film, or event production
Knowledge of sustainable design practices
Familiarity with Dubai's event industry
