Job Summary

Supporting a project or delivery manager to scope existing DA solutions and agree a technical approach for the migration to and implementation of Altair products. This person will be a subject matter expert for implementing our solutions. Knowledge of incumbent capabilities will help identify necessary fixes to maintain project objectives.

What You Will Do

• Coordinating technical discovery tasks with Internal and Client resources.
• Collecting and summarizing discovery information to produce solution proposal.
• Architecture Analysis of the existing service for the migration and build a similar architecture in Altair for a smooth transition.
• Triaging technical issues with Project/Delivery Manager and software engineers/solution/DB teams.
• Identify and test fixes from engineering team.
• Identify and document issues, risks and opportunities related to requirements.
• Attend customer meetings and be the face of Altair.
• Ability to travel on a project basis to client locations .
• Delivery of technical SOW.
  
  
  

Basics

What You Will Need:

• 5+ years’ experience in Solutions Architect/Professional Services/Technical Support role.
• Software development life cycle and experience in advising on software requirements and use cases.
• Comfortable dealing with customers both remotely and on site with some technical skills.
• Knowledge and experience of data architecture, data processing, database systems and analytics
• IT, system, and database administration experience
• Self-learner who is willing to pick up and learn our DA suite of products.
• Knowledge of the SQL language and other business analytics tools and languages,
• Familiarity with Windows and Linux system administration.
• Liaise with different teams - Engineering, Database, Support, Cloud, Testing, QA, Documentation.
• Data processing programming languages (R, Python).
• Knowledge of Databases but not limited to (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, DB2, Netezza, Sybase, BigQuery).
• Experience with Cloud Computing technologies like AWS/Azure/GCP/OCI and/or Docker/Kubernetes is desirable.
