JOB PURPOSE:

The Specialist, Project Deal Delivery (Light Industries) will support the Senior Specialist in the identification, evaluation, and delivery of light industries projects, ensuring alignment with TA’ZIZ's strategic goals. This role will assist in various aspects of project development, deal structuring, negotiations, stakeholder management, and market engagement. The Specialist will play a key supporting role in coordinating specific deal elements for light industries projects, ensuring seamless execution and alignment with organizational objectives.

Key Accountabilities

Project Development and Execution

  • Assist in identifying and evaluating project opportunities that align with TA’ZIZ’s strategic objectives
  • Support the definition of project scope, objectives, and feasibility, ensuring alignment with market demands and organizational goals
  • Contribute to project planning, execution, and monitoring processes, ensuring timely and successful delivery of projects
  • Coordinate specific aspects of light industries deals for LIA projects, supporting the overall project delivery process
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure project alignment with business objectives and requirements
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to project teams, helping to solve technical challenges and ensure quality delivery

Deal Structuring and Negotiations with Partners

  • Support technical negotiations and provide clarifications during the partnership discussions
  • Assist in the development of joint feasibility studies and business plans, ensuring alignment with TA’ZIZ’s objectives
  • Contribute to the commercial workstream by helping to develop the roadmap, risk register, stakeholder matrix, and preparing relevant progress reports and dashboards
  • Provide support for market engagement activities, including coordinating communications, meetings, and preparing reservation agreements for potential clients
  • Support the maintenance and updating of the investor tracker, ensuring accurate records of investor interactions and commitments
  • Assist in the preparation and execution of market engagement plans and tenant selection criteria, contributing to the growth of the project pipeline
  • Coordinate and participate in industry events such as MIITEF, ADIPEC, and Suppliers’ Open Day, representing TA’ZIZ and promoting project opportunities
  • Provide market engagement inputs for reports and presentations, assisting with the communication of key project developments

COMMUNICATIONS & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:

Internal

Collaborate with all functions within TA’ZIZ, including finance, legal, technical, and other business units, to ensure seamless project delivery

Work closely with the Senior Specialist and other members of the project team, providing regular updates and support

External

Build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including project partners, investors, and government agencies

Support participation in external events and meetings, representing TA’ZIZ and engaging with industry leaders and potential project collaborators

  • QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

Minimum Qualification

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Science, Finance, Economics, or a relevant discipline

Master’s degree or MBA is an advantage

Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills

3-5 years of relevant experience in project development, commercial deal structuring, and stakeholder management

Experience in light industries or related sectors is a plus

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams

Ability to assist in negotiating and structuring deals, ensuring alignment with organizational goals

Basic understanding of project management principles, including planning, execution, and monitoring

Strong technical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide support and guidance to project teams

Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment
