Job Description
We are seeking a talented and innovative Structural Design Engineer to join our dynamic team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for developing and implementing structural designs for a wide range of projects, ensuring safety, efficiency, and innovation in our engineering solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute structural designs for various projects, including commercial, residential, and mixed-use structures
- Perform structural analysis and calculations to ensure the integrity and safety of designs
- Utilize advanced structural analysis and design software to optimize project outcomes
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate structural designs with architectural and MEP systems
- Ensure compliance with local UAE building codes, international standards, and best practices
- Prepare and review technical reports, specifications, and construction documents
- Conduct site visits to assess existing structures and monitor construction progress
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and sustainable design practices
- Participate in project meetings and communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and team members
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of design processes and methodologies
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering (Master's degree preferred)
- Professional Engineering (PE) license or equivalent
- Minimum of 3-7 years of experience in structural engineering, with a focus on complex projects
- Strong knowledge of structural engineering principles and practices
- Proficiency in structural analysis and design software (e.g., SAP2000, ETABS, STAAD.Pro)
- Expertise in UAE and international building codes and standards
- Advanced mathematical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent technical writing and communication abilities
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and 3D modeling software
- Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) software
- Knowledge of seismic design and analysis
- Familiarity with sustainable design practices and green building standards
