Job Purpose
Supervise the maintenance and “Recommendations and Repairs” (R&R) of the mechanical equipment and the structures of ADNOC LNG JV and ASR plants as well as the non-industrial areas. Items of plant include exchangers, condensers, vessels, pipe lines, boilers, steel structure etc. and other related types of equipment.
Key Accountabilities
Supervise the maintenance and “Recommendations and Repairs” (R&R) of the mechanical equipment and the structures of ADNOC LNG JV and ASR plants as well as the non-industrial areas. Items of plant include exchangers, condensers, vessels, pipe lines, boilers, steel structure etc. and other related types of equipment.
Key Accountabilities
- Supervise and direct the activities of assigned personnel, perform supervisory functions at the level established by the Department.
- Ensure that R&R work is executed efficiently and safely in accordance with company’s standards, codes and practices.
- Ensure the provision of materials and equipment required to undertake R&R work.
- Assist Mechanical Engineer (R&R) in preparation of Tender Inquiry Documents for R&R works in line with the Company policy.
- Implement R&R work in accordance with established procedures and approved plan.
- Plan, co-ordinate and monitor the progress of R&R Work-contracts and assists job officer in the Contract Management and Administration.
- Liaise with relevant personnel in the Plant Operations, Plant Maintenance, and HSE Departments to obtain permits to work and advise Workshops Engineer of the planned duration of such work. Undertake this work according to the section’s planned work schedules. Liaise with other sections regarding the availability of resources required to undertake the job.
- Assist R&R Planner in updating the plan and actual schedule data and preparation of necessary reports.
- Use computerised maintenance management systems to carry out his duties.
- Carry out other similar or related duties such as compiling time sheets, stores stock requisition, accident reports, etc. as assigned from time to time
- Safeguard own Health and Safety, as well as that of the fellow employees, by paying attention to safe work practices, maintaining a safe work environment and complying with applicable HSE requirements.
- Take action to INTERVENE and STOP any un-safe activity or non-compliance with HSE requirements, if witnessed, and report the incident – regardless of your position or that of the transgressor
- Bachelor Degree or Higher Diploma in Mechanical/Material Engineering
- 5 years of engineering maintenance experience in fabrication and repair works within Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industry with at least two years’ supervisory experience
- Technical knowledge on the different types of electrical equipment.
- Ability to use SAP to manage the work orders and data sheets
- Ability to understand the engineering/OEM drawings
- Technical report writing skills
- Ability to use Microsoft Office Software
- Authorization for NFWP, CWP and HWP
