Schneider Electic is looking for Technical Leader to join Digital Power Application centre (DPAC) in Dubai for Global Customer projects and Services (GCP & SO)
Main Responsibilities:
- Technical Leader to execute energy automation projects in Oil & Gas, Utility & datacentre segments in the Gulf region.
- Lead the execution of customer project delivery with the support of Design and System engineers.
- Responsible for leading project execution from tender handover through the entire execution phase, covering design, procurement, internal validation, factory and site acceptance tests, and technical closure of the project.
- Strong collaboration and reporting to Project Management, and coordination with Level-3 & 4 technical support teams.
- Accountable for the quality, scope, time, and cost constraints of project deliverables.
- Responsible for developing and validating innovative technical applications and system architecture
Your Qualifications and Skills:
- Expected degree qualification: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical or Electronics and Communication Engineering.
- Relevant years of experience: 5 to 10 years in energy automation projects, with a minimum of 3 years in Gulf projects and customers.
- Good understanding of protection IEDs, energy meters, power quality, and electrical asset management systems.
- Knowledge and certification in OT cybersecurity based on IEC 62443 standards will be an added advantage.
- Experience in site-based testing, commissioning, services, and project closure.
Knowledge and expertise:
- Electrical substation automation leveraging various SCADA, PLC, and data concentrators in IEC 61850 and Modbus communication protocols.
- Network management switches - Hirschman, CISCO, and protocols like PRP, RSTP, HSR, VLAN, etc.
- Design and development of complex energy automation architectures with servers, workstations, gateways, switches, firewalls, etc.
- Load shedding and load/generator management, real-time load analysis.
- Schneider Electric’s Ecostruxure architecture, edge control solutions like EPAS, EPO, EBO will be vital.
- AI, data, and digital transformation ecosystem knowledge, specifically in Python scripting, digital services, etc.

- Project experience in building automation (BMS) in datacentres and critical infrastructures.
- Arabic speaking and a valid GCC driving license will be an added advantage.
