Trainee NOC Engineer – (UAE Nationals)

Black & Grey HR is recruiting for a diversified group seeking a Trainee NOC Engineer for the duration of 6 months. The trainee will assist in the application and approval processes for No Objection Certificates (NOCs) and related permits required for power infrastructure construction projects. Working under the guidance of the NOC Engineer, the trainee will gain technical expertise in ensuring compliance with local regulations and support the management of project documentation and coordination to ensure a smooth NOC process.

Responsibilities:

• Support the NOC Engineer in reviewing, preparing, and submitting Design NOC documents, construction NOCs, No Objection Certificates (NOIs), and Permits to Work (PTW) to ensure compliance with all authority requirements, minimizing response times and avoiding resubmissions.
• Assist the NOC Engineer with facilitating company registrations with relevant authorities, developers, and service providers, ensuring all qualification processes are followed.
• Collaborate with the NOC Engineer in liaising with government offices, utility authorities, and service agencies (e.g., DEWA, ADDC, Etisalat, DU) to secure all necessary project-related permits and clearances.
• Support the NOC Engineer in coordinating with UAE municipalities, DM, RTA, and external stakeholders on Design NOC applications, reviewing proposals for pipelines and corridors.
• Participate in kick-off and coordination meetings, providing assistance with construction-related NOCs, particularly regarding site-specific issues.
• Assist the NOC Engineer in working closely with project managers, engineers, and construction teams to ensure smooth coordination of NOC applications and approvals.
• Track the status of pending NOC applications and proactively address any issues or delays that may arise.
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of electrical systems and industry standards is a plus, but not required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite at an intermediate level.
• Familiarity with basic engineering software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Primavera, MS Project, etc.
• Excellent communication skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively under supervision and collaborate within a team.
