Transportation Engineer (ports, airports, other transports infrastructures)

RINA is currently recruiting for a Transportation Engineer (ports, airports, other transports infrastructures) to join its office in Abu Dhabi within the Italy Infrastructure & Mobility Division.

Mission

RINA is seeking a Transportation Engineer to be based in UAE or KSA for Engineering Consulting for Real Estates, Infrastructures, Transports Engineering with preference to assets related to ports, airports and other transports infrastructures and logistics.

Key Accountabilities

The key focus of the role is to manage a portfolio of clients and projects related to Transportation Infrastructures, also supporting the acquisitions of new contracts by coordinating the development of high-quality proposals, and when necessary, developing methodologies and approaches to deliver the services or to meet the clients’ requirements.

Project delivery and project Management

• Support the development of the projects for Transportation Engineering and consultancy projects, with particular focus on Ports, Water infrastructures, Airports, Interports, but also Urban Development, Railways, Metro/LRT, Roads.
• Project Management of the acquired clients and contracts
• Coordinate the input of technical teams, eventually from external suppliers
• Identify and support to qualify new suppliers
• Maintain clients’ relations about technical and operational aspects
• Create and update methodologies
  
  

Support to Proposal preparation

• Supporting the production of high-quality submissions, qualification materials in response to formal and informal client solicitations, including Letters of Interest (LOIs), Expressions of Interest (EOIs) Requests for Qualifications (RFQ), Requests for Proposals (RFP) and/or for positioning efforts in accordance with RINA brand guidelines and to meet client requirements.
• Coordinate input of technical components
• Review technical proposals. Developing methodologies for the project execution
  
  

Other Responsibilities

• Draft of Project Summaries/ Presentations about submitted projects
• Update and maintain projects libraries
• Review the status of the operational projects
• In conjunction with marketing/ branding team, support to develop capability statements, skill sheets, project data sheets and CVs in line with corporate guidelines
  
  

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a relevant role (Project Engineer, Project Manager)
• Experience as 5 years in companies delivering project management, master planning, engineering design for Urban, Buildings, Infrastructures, Transports. Experience with assets and engineering consulting related to ports, airports, interports, and other transports infrastructures is preferred
• Relevant university level qualifications degree in Civil/ Architectural Engineering
• Excellent English written communication skills including writing and editing – ability to easily communicate the required ideas or concept and tailor responses to client specifications. Arabic language is a plus.
