Job Description

Job Title: Weblogic Administrator

Location: Abu Dhabi

General Description

  • Responsible for the support and management of software solutions implemented at with the highest attention to detail and compliance to standards and brand guidelines. The role will be clustered according to technologies.
  • Provide the full spectrum of IT services ranging from user support, infrastructure and application management to application development, architectural and business services

Main Duties

  • Support regional leadership in its need for automation, innovation, and digitalization
  • This position requires a good understanding of applications and processes from business and technical perspective.
  • Work in partnership with end users, supporting and advising them how to use Applications to meet their business objectives and resolve technical issues.
  • Monitor the operational performance of applications and processes.
  • Application maintenance and support to cover 24x7 support.
  • Perform root cause assessment, debug all issues on applications in scope.
  • Identify software faults/bugs and communicate application problems and issues to key stakeholders, including management, development teams, end users, and unit leaders.
  • Perform Patches & Upgrades.
  • Provide weekly reports on the application tasks, issues, and workarounds.
  • Provide feedback and advice as guide to the team members when required.
  • Respect and promote trust and confidentiality.
  • Results oriented whilst ensuring high quality of work and able to “think out of the box.”
  • Strong level of customer service orientation and professionalism in all interactions
  • Able to work in a multi-cultural environment and promote teamwork and knowledge sharing to achieve goals and deliverables.
  • Prepare and maintain standard operating procedure documentation
  • Monitor applications availability and take appropriate action to maintain agreed SLAs
  • Provide risk assessments in supporting new projects.
  • Recommend changes or enhancements in available IT after getting the feedback from the business.
  • Engage in ongoing research of emerging trends and new technologies which may benefit the corporation goal of strategically implementing technology to enhance business performance, and specifically support the support services function.

Work Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 7 years of progressive IT Application support)
  • Minimum 5+ years in relevant technology area
  • Experience in Health Insurance, Insurance or Finance sector is an added advantage
  • Look candidates from big organizations (Multi tier Architect)
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology or other relevant field of study, or Certificate or Diploma from higher educational institute.
  • Master's degree is a plus.

Licensure Requirements

  • Relevant technical certification in a specific technology area is an added advantage
  • ITIL / Project Management Certification is an added advantage

Skills & Competencies

  • Dynamic, self-driven with strong business understanding and background
  • Solid understanding of multiple tier application architecture
  • Experience with large scale enterprise-level systems related application support
  • Good Experience in installation and administration of Oracle BEA WebLogic, BI Publisher, and Web servers.
  • Good knowledge in Server and Space Management.
  • Experience in scripting and setting up automation tools for CICD pipelines preferably Jenkins.
  • Good Experience in patching Oracle EBS 12.2 tech stack.
  • Good knowledge of the recent web service technology (Web-Services, BPEL Interfaces, etc.,) and middleware technologies (Weblogic, JBoss, Tomcat, IIS)
  • Good knowledge of Linux OS (Redhat, Oracle Linux)
  • Knowledge of SQL (Structured Query Language) - Oracle DB.
  • Good understanding of all aspects of enterprise application suites (networks, database configuration, server configuration, web server optimisation, load balancing hardware, SQL tuning, etc.)
  • Good command of written and spoken English; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
  • Very good analytical, planning, forecasting, execution, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to acquire and apply new skills.
  • Able to work in a multi-cultural environment and promote teamwork and knowledge sharing to achieve goals and deliverables.
  • Good knowledge in Atlassian suite of applications (Jira, Confluence, BitBucket, Bamboo).
  • Very good analytical, planning, forecasting, execution and problem-solving skills
  • Strong level of customer service orientation and professionalism in all interaction
