The VAS organization has overall business responsibility for growing Value Added Services offerings and adoption. This role will lead Card Present (CP) acceptance solutions on Visa Acceptance Platform for CEMEA, including Cybersource Tap to Phone and Acceptance Devices. The candidate will be the product SME for CP solutions and will drive product enhancements with the global team. The selected candidate is also responsible for the development and execution of the CP scaling strategy, including the identification and integration of vendor solutions across industry verticals (e.g. retail, transit, EV charging), as well as enabling the resell of 3rd party solutions for the SMB segment through partnerships. The candidate will also be responsible for the commercialization plans in CEMEA and the enablement of the acceptance sales team. The candidate will also support the solutioning for CP local routing in CEMEA.
This position would be ideal for a candidate with product development and management experience in the payment space (with focus on CP), with a track record in partner engagement and partnership. This role is part of the hub team covering the CEMEA region and will report to the head of Acceptance Solutions within the VAS organization.
Responsibilities
Develop and drive delivery of product strategy and go-to-market plans for CP solutions on Visa Acceptance Platform
Be the product SME (Subject Matter Expert) for solutions in scope and drive product enhancements and CEMEA customizations in collaboration with the global product team
Identify relevant partners across industry verticals (e.g. retail, transit, EV charging) and drive partner engagement and integration into Visa Acceptance Platform to grow CP adoption and scale
Lead productization of solutions for SMB segment from 3rd party vendors, including partnership agreement with vendors, solution pricing, sales enablement, solution rollout, and product enhancements
Support solutioning for enabling compliant CP local routing across CEMEA
Ensure the regional sales teams are effectively communicated to and updated regarding product value proposition, product roadmap, new features, pricing changes, etc.
Work with the sales team to identify CP opportunities and support delivery of pipeline, including client pitches, product queries, and solutioning activities
Build effective partnerships with the CEMEA VAS sales teams, global product team and other functions to ensure alignment on priorities and drive impact
Drive annual planning of the products in scope, including sales pipeline development with sales team, revenue projections, market expansion and product enhancements
Take overall responsibility of revenue goals for solutions in scope and work closely with the relevant teams to achieve the revenue target
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.
Basic Qualifications
•8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least
5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or
2 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications
•Graduate School/ Master’s Degree Preferred
•7+ years of experience in product development, management and
commercialization
•Solid background in card present payment technologies, contactless payments,
card present processing, POS terminals and Tap to Phone, and terminal
certification
•Experience in signing partnerships and productization of solutions from 3rd
party vendors is a plus
•Strong business acumen and solid analytical/problem-solving skills
•Organized and strong program management experience
•Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-
technical audiences
•Ability to multi-task and deliver results in a high paced environment
•Ability to work independently, remotely, and with other teams and functions
within a complex environment
•Ability to work with both internal and external stakeholders and comfortable in
leading client/partner discussions and presentations
•Good PowerPoint and Excel skills to support preparation of sales decks and
Excel models (e.g. business cases, revenue projections, product performance
analysis)
•Good command of English is a must
•Ability to travel as required
