Job Description
People Management Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparation of related accounting policies and procedures manuals and ensure that the department implements them
- Provide interpretation of accounting and financial policy related to accounts payables to the other colleagues in AD PORTS
- Supervise activities to ensure timely payment of invoices as per agreed terms and conditions
- Ensure financial accounts are updated and adequate documentation and filing of all expenditures is maintained
- Review, check and verify suppliers accounts, invoices and claims for accuracy of payments
- Supervise processing of Purchase Orders and invoices with proper approval to generate timely and accurate payments to suppliers
- Handle payment vouchers and manage petty cash payments
- Maintain control over primary ledger and subsidiary ledgers for accounts payable and payroll
- Prepare and review payroll report on a monthly basis and ensure its accuracy
- Process payroll, expenses and advance processing and ensure approvals by the authorized personnel
- Reconcile all AP accounts at GL level and also employee advances and loan accounts
- Maintain and review accounts payables accrual as well as month-end reconciliation
- Coordinate with external and internal auditors to answer any queries and meet the auditory requirements
- Provide timely, accurate financial information and reporting to the management
- Check and confirm personal and company pension contribution for the UAE national employees
- Calculate the contingent, contracting and employment liabilities and accounting for the same
- Maintain complete and reliable accounting records and documentation in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Procedures (GAAP), IFRS and International accounting Standards (IAS)
- Perform other relevant functions in the finance department/section as assigned by Head of Accounts Payable & Payroll.
People Management Responsibilities:
- Develop department budgets in conjunction with the unit’s budget, track expenses and ensure adherence
- Finalize the manning needs of the department and obtain requisite approvals
- Manage the team under the Financial Control department by evaluating the performance of team members, providing feedback on an ongoing basis, identifying development needs and coaching them to ensure ongoing capability development
- Conduct trainings for the AD Ports team on various aspects on which the role holder has subject matter expertise
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Accounting or Finance
- CPA, CMA, ACCA will be
- Written and Spoken English is essential, Arabic is preferred
- 0 – 2 years in similar field
- All ADPC staff
- ADPC Business Heads
