What are my responsibilities?

• Create detailed design layouts using tailored made layout tools, actively involve in material ordering process, create escape route and accessibility layouts, installation drawings and issue to site team for installation activities. Support Electrical, Controls, Steel, project and installation team and coordinate accordingly.
• Selection of 3rd party equipment as per contract specifications, create material, document and layout submittals from concept design, throughout detail design and final design together with operation, Safety and maintenance manuals related to mechanical equipment.
• Address the site technical queries (STQ), and provide solution based on overall design concept.
• Create manufacturing / fabrication drawings using standard 3D software (like Inventor).
• Analyze the tender by checking the relevance of requirements to make sure the system is designed according to the customer requirements.
• Manage and ensure that all project Quality procedures applicable to design are being followed. This enables all aspects of the project to be achieved towards meeting Design needs and ultimate customer satisfaction.
• Safety: Will be responsible / accountable to follow occupational health, safety, security, environment and quality as stipulated in OHSMS P03, Project HSSE Plan section 4, SDME EP05 and SDME QP03.
  
  

What do I need to qualify for the role?

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, REVIT, Inventor, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
• Fluency in English is mandatory, with the ability to adapt to diverse cultural environments and work effectively across different work ethics.
• Knowledge of other engineering disciplines such as Electrical, Controls, Steel, PLC, or IT is an advantage but not essential.
• Good understanding of mechanical engineering principles; prior design office experience is considered a plus.
