Job Brief:

We are seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to join a leading paper manufacturing company in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with Valmet DNA automation systems, ensuring seamless operation, monitoring, and troubleshooting of DCS and QCS systems within paper machine processes.

Job Responsibilities:

• Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot control systems used in paper machines, particularly DCS and QCS systems.
• Provide expert-level support for Valmet DNA automation systems and ensure minimal downtime.
• Support the EAI team with maintenance and troubleshooting of other automation and control systems.
• Conduct hands-on training sessions for team members with less experience in DNA systems.
• Coordinate with suppliers to address and resolve potential system issues.
• Participate in on-call rosters for emergency troubleshooting and system support.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and company safety protocols in all automation activities.
• Continuously improve automation efficiency and reliability through proactive monitoring and system optimization.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Instrumentation Engineering (or equivalent).
• Proven experience working with Valmet DNA systems in the paper manufacturing industry.
• Strong knowledge of DCS (Distributed Control Systems) and QCS (Quality Control Systems).
• Ability to independently handle system troubleshooting and configuration.
• Experience in training and mentoring junior team members.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills.
• Willingness to work in on-call rotations and support shift operations when required.
