Market Research & Analysis
- Conduct in-depth market research to identify new opportunities for business growth, including emerging markets, customer segments, and potential partners.
- Analyze industry trends, competitor performance, and customer behavior to provide actionable insights and recommendations for the business development strategy.
- Track and report on key market developments, new entrants, and changes in customer needs to keep the company informed about potential threats and opportunities.
- Use quantitative and qualitative data to assess market dynamics and help the business development team understand market conditions.
- Assist in the identification and evaluation of potential business opportunities, partnerships, and acquisitions that align with the company’s strategic goals.
- Support the development of business cases, including financial projections, risk assessments, and strategic alignment for new initiatives.
- Help prepare presentations and proposals to support business development efforts with potential clients, partners, or investors.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to refine and execute the business development strategy.
- Conduct financial modeling and analysis to assess the potential financial impact of business opportunities.
- Assist with forecasting and budgeting for new business initiatives, helping to estimate revenue growth, costs, and return on investment (ROI).
- Provide data-driven insights to support the evaluation of business deals, pricing strategies, and investment decisions.
- Support the business development team in managing relationships with key stakeholders, including potential clients, partners, and industry influencers.
- Assist in the negotiation and structuring of partnerships or contracts by providing research, financial analysis, and strategic input.
- Coordinate with sales, marketing, and product teams to ensure alignment between business development efforts and broader company goals.
- Help identify and generate leads by conducting market research, prospecting, and outreach to potential clients or partners.
- Assist in the preparation of sales and marketing materials, including presentations, proposals, and case studies, to support business development efforts.
- Track the progress of leads and prospects, helping to move them through the sales pipeline and ensuring follow-up actions are taken.
- Monitor the performance of business development initiatives, tracking key metrics such as lead generation, deal closure rates, revenue growth, and customer acquisition.
- Assist in preparing regular reports on the status of business development activities, providing insights into what’s working and where improvements can be made.
- Provide senior leadership with recommendations for adjustments to strategy based on performance data and market conditions.
- Work closely with marketing, sales, product, and finance teams to ensure business development activities are aligned with the company’s goals and operational capabilities.
- Collaborate with product teams to understand the company’s offerings and tailor business development efforts to potential clients or partners.
- Provide support in the execution of cross-functional initiatives aimed at growing the business, such as new product launches, go-to-market strategies, and customer engagement campaigns.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Marketing, or a related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in business development, market research, strategy, or a related role.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in financial modeling, market research, and data analysis.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Tableau).
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly to senior leadership and other stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Experience with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and business intelligence tools.
- Knowledge of financial modeling, ROI analysis, and business case development.
- Familiarity with the company’s industry or vertical (e.g., technology, healthcare, finance).
- MBA or other advanced business qualifications is a plus.
- Number of new business opportunities identified and successfully pursued.
- Growth in revenue and market share from new business initiatives.
- Success rate of business development initiatives (e.g., number of leads converted, partnerships formed).
- Impact of business development efforts on company growth and strategic objectives.
