Job Title: Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Chief Operating Officer to lead the operational scale-up of our smartphone distribution business with embedded fintech services. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in building operational systems from scratch, scaling in emerging markets, and managing logistics and fintech integration. This is a high-impact, international role based in Dubai, with frequent travel to key markets across Africa, Asia, and Latin America.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement automated operational infrastructure (logistics, warehousing, delivery, customer support, fintech activation).
  • Standardize and document operational procedures across all countries.
  • Build and manage the Dubai HQ operational team and lead hiring for local teams in key markets.
  • Establish cross-regional communication and reporting frameworks.
  • Oversee smartphone and SIM supply chain management.
  • Ensure seamless after-sales support, including warranty, replacements, and service.
  • Collaborate with internal tech teams and local fintech partners to integrate microloan, leasing, and wallet services into devices.
  • Define KPIs, build performance dashboards, and ensure consistent service quality across regions.

Qualifications

  • Proven operations leadership experience, ideally in mobile, telecom, fintech, or logistics sectors.
  • Strong background in setting up and scaling systems in emerging markets.
  • Deep understanding of distribution networks and field service operations.
  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and execution abilities.
  • Fluent in English; additional languages such as French, Spanish, or Swahili are a plus.
  • Willingness to travel extensively to new and active markets.
