Divisional Manager - MEP

Emirates Electrical Engineering is a specialized business platform that provides comprehensive turnkey solutions combining development, financing, construction and operation of solar rooftops for commercial and industrial building in the UAE, also a responsive and flexible organization dedicated for the design and construction of turnkey electrical power projects such as High Voltage Substations, Cable Networks and Transmission Lines.

Job Purpose

The MEP Divisional Manager will oversee the entire MEP projects division, managing the lifecycle of MEP projects, from design through execution, ensuring profitable, timely, and high-quality project delivery. This role holds full responsibility for the division’s P&L, establishing proper governance for cost and revenue monitoring, resource optimization, and project performance reporting. The MEP Divisional Manager will also play a key role in identifying new MEP opportunities and collaborating with various internal teams and act as a responsible leader in business capture efforts contributing to the growth of the division. The position involves strong engagement with clients and stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery and sustainable business growth. The role reports into the Operations Manager of EEE and has the entire project management team of MEP reporting into the role.

Job Responsibilities

• Overall responsibility for the P&L of the MEP division, ensuring profitability through strong financial governance.
• Establish systems for monitoring costs and revenues on a project-by-project basis.
• Optimize resource allocation for efficient project execution and cost control.
• Monitor project performance using Earned Value Analysis (EVA) to track budgets, schedules, and contractual commitments.
• Oversee project reviews with the project management team to ensure timely delivery and profitability.
• Manage project scheduling using Primavera planning tools.
• Identify and pursue MEP project opportunities by networking with key stakeholders.
• Lead discussions on variations and changes to ensure alignment with contractual agreements and protect project P&L.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
• Oversee the MEP design, planning, execution, and handover of projects in high-rise buildings, villas, malls, and commercial facilities.
• Ensure compliance with UAE regulations, codes, and industry standards.
• Regularly review and update Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and ensure project progress aligns with them
• Lead procurement plans and ensure timely delivery of materials in line with project schedules
• Review project forecasts and expenditure to meet financial targets
• Coordinate with internal departments (Admin, Finance, Commercial, Contracts, Supply Chain) for project alignment with contractual terms and client expectations
• Collaborate with the Finance department to monitor project costs, cash flows, and revenue recognition
• Work with Contracts & Commercial teams to manage risks, variations, and claims
• Ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials in coordination with the Supply Chain team
• Liaise with the Technical Manager to integrate energy-efficient solutions into MEP designs
• Promote energy-saving measures and sustainable technologies in MEP systems
• Collaborate with the design and engineering teams to implement cost-saving, innovative solutions
  
  

Job Requirements

Qualifications

• Master’s or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
• Master’s degree in Business Management preferred
• PMI - PMP Certification preferred
  
  

Experience

• Minimum 10-12 years of experience in managing MEP projects for residential and commercial towers and industrial buildings
• Minimum 3 -4 years of experience as Divisional Manager role ,in managing MEP projects in UAE or any other GCC countries
• ESCO industrial knowledge is an added advantage
  
  

Knowledge & Skills

• Comprehensive knowledge of MEP systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection) for large-scale commercial and residential projects such as high-rise buildings, villas, and malls.
• Strong understanding of P&L management, cost control, project budgeting, and forecasting to ensure divisional profitability.
• Ability to identify potential projects, engage key stakeholders, and bring them to the organization’s leadership for discussion.
• Expertise in project performance tracking tools such as Earned Value Analysis (EVA) and Primavera.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills to manage expectations, resolve issues, and foster long-term partnerships.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to mentor and manage project teams, ensuring successful execution of projects.
