Instrument Fitter

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Instrumentation Fitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, calibrating, maintaining, and repairing instrumentation systems used in industrial processes. You will work closely with engineers and technicians to ensure that all instrumentation systems are operating efficiently and meet required safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install and assemble instrumentation equipment, including sensors, valves, actuators, transmitters, and control systems.
• To perform fitting tasks on pipelines, vessels, valves and coolers associated with Static equipment in the plant complex.
• To remove, maintain and install pipelines ,flange joints and pipe supports, in accordance with GASCO PTW procedures.
• To perform hydra-pressure tests on pipelines, coolers, valves, and other equipment's.
• Calibrate and adjust instruments to ensure accurate readings and functionality according to manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of instrumentation systems to identify and resolve faults or inefficiencies.
• Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to understand installation and operational requirements.
• Inspect, test, and verify the performance of installed instrumentation equipment.
• Collaborate with engineers and other team members during equipment installations and commissioning phases.
• Ensure all work complies with safety regulations, quality standards, and operational guidelines.
• Maintain accurate documentation of all installations, maintenance activities, and repairs.
• Monitor inventory levels for instrumentation parts and requisition necessary supplies.
• Provide technical support during shutdowns, turnarounds, and upgrades.
  
  
  

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; a technical diploma or certificate in instrumentation, electrical, or a related field is preferred.
• 8+ years of experience as an Instrumentation Fitter or similar role in an industrial or manufacturing environment.( Hydrocarbon and continuous process industry out of which at least 3 years should be in GCC.)
• Knowledge of instrumentation systems, including pressure, temperature, level, and flow measurement devices.
• Proficiency in using tools and equipment for assembly, installation, and calibration of instrumentation systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents, diagrams, and schematics.
• Strong understanding of safety protocols and regulations related to instrumentation work.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
• Physical ability to lift heavy equipment, work in confined spaces, and perform tasks in various environmental conditions.
  
  
  

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers) and SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems.
• Knowledge of industry standards such as ISA (International Society of Automation).
• Experience in oil and gas, manufacturing, or power generation industries.
• Basic computer skills for report documentation and system diagnostics.
