IT Support Engineer

Fika Consultancy, a trusted leader in business solutions, is seeking a skilled and proactive IT Support Engineer to join our team in Dubai. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure, providing exceptional support, and enhancing the efficiency of our technology systems to meet business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Technical Support: Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues for end-users.
• System Maintenance: Regularly monitor and maintain IT systems, including servers, networks, and workstations.
• Troubleshooting: Provide timely troubleshooting for connectivity issues, system crashes, and application errors.
• Installation and Upgrades: Install, configure, and update hardware, software, and network systems as required.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of IT assets, configurations, and support activities.
• Security Management: Implement and monitor cybersecurity measures, including firewalls and antivirus systems.
• Training: Assist in training staff on IT systems, new software, and best practices.
• Vendor Coordination: Liaise with external vendors for hardware and software procurement and support services.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years in IT support, preferably in a consultancy or corporate setting.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficient in Windows/Linux systems, MS Office Suite, and network configurations.
• Knowledge of virtualization technologies, cloud platforms, and ITIL best practices.
• Familiarity with Active Directory and Office 365 administration.
• Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and a customer-focused approach.
• Certifications: Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals, or CCNA are an advantage.
