Job Description

Job Summary:

The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day coordination of MSOL shipments outgoing of Dubai. The position will be working with customer care team, warehouse staff, and freight forwarders. The main objective is to prepare shipping documents and facilitate the shipments' collection from our warehouse for timely delivery to customers.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Handle Outbound shipments: PMO shipments, RMA shipments, DG shipments, Trax manual shipments and closing drop shipments in system
  • Prepare shipping documents in Global Trax/ manual shipping documents upon receipt of final weights and dimensions from warehouse team
  • Prepare Delivery Advise and HS Summary sheet from MIC for outgoing shipments Share draft shipping documents with Customer Care team for shipping release from customer
  • Apply Certificate of Origin in Dubai Chamber of Commerce website
  • Prepare AWB’s for parcel shipments, book shipments in SCO for heavy air shipments
  • Coordinate with nominated freight forwarders to arrange collection/dispatch of goods based on the agreed Incoterms
  • Forward the POD to Customer Care team after material is collected or handed over to the forwarder
  • Close shipments in Global Trax after dispatching the shipment
  • Update Outbound SharePoint tracker with complete shipment information in timely manner
  • Verify shipping documents for FANR regulated items and send documents to Shipping Assistant to apply for FANR approval
  • Monitor and expedite critical shipments with freight forwarders and/or clearing agents
  • Follow up with freight forwarders for Bill of Exit copies and PODs
  • Provide freight quotes and rate comparison to Customer Care/ Sales team
  • Raise Rate Requests in logistics SharePoint for non-contracted lanes
  • Release Holds in TSE
  • Back-up Inbound shipping activities as per business needs
  • Align with Emerson Ethical and trade compliance policies

  • Ensure all agreed metrics are measured and appropriate analysis completed
  • Carry out tasks to meet or exceed agreed-upon performance metrics and maintain Flawless Execution standards
  • Pro-actively identify continuous improvement and innovation opportunities and implement related actions
  • Optimize usage and standardization of business tools in order to increase efficiency

For this Role, You Will Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business, engineering, logistics or supply chain
  • 2 - 3 years’ experience in logistics and customer support experience

  • Excellent Microsoft office and Adobe PDF skills
