Job Description

Job Overview:

The Principal Construction Specialist interprets internal or external business issues and recommends best practices. They will be tasked with solving complex Construction-related problems and will work independently with minimal guidance. The Principal Construction Specialist may be responsible for leading functional teams or projects and is regarded as a specialist in Construction. As such, they must have in-depth expertise in Construction and broad knowledge of the Construction discipline within the Fabrication function.

Responsibilities

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Plan and execute activities
• Manage construction activities on a dedicated project and associated structures
• Manage day-to-day through a team of subordinates
• Chair and lead all construction planning meetings and progress reviews
• Ensure the completion of required daily construction activities across all disciplines
• Lead planning efforts for all of the construction
• Maintain a high standard of safe working practice, quality, and productivity, as well as compliance with the Code of Business Conduct
  
  

Qualifications

Essential Qualifications and Education:

• Diploma
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in a construction role, with a minimum of 5 years of international experience
• In-depth knowledge of construction processes, methodologies, materials, and building codes
• Strong project management skills, with a demonstrated ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously
• Excellent leadership and team management abilities, with the capacity to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams
• Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, both written and verbal
• Proficiency in project management software and tools
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
• Ability to work within tight deadlines and manage project constraints effectively
