About The Opportunity

Our client is a leading player in the construction materials and chemicals sector, known for delivering innovative solutions across large-scale infrastructure and building projects. With a commitment to quality, technical excellence, and operational efficiency, they are expanding their leadership team to support growth across West Africa. They are seeking high-calibre candidates from abroad who are open to relocating and helping shape the future of the company's commercial operations.

This is a relocation-supported role open to expatriate candidates. The company will fully cover relocation costs and provide a serviced apartment, official vehicle, and driver. Preferred candidates will be based in, or originally from, India, Lebanon, or Dubai and must be willing to relocate to Nigeria.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and oversee a nationwide sales team to achieve aggressive growth targets.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies aligned with company-wide goals and long-term strategic planning.
  • Drive the expansion of market share in the construction chemicals sector (targeting growth from 7% to 25%).
  • Prepare annual sales plans, budgets, and forecasts in collaboration with senior leadership.
  • Establish strong relationships with key stakeholders, including real estate developers, contractors, and consultants.
  • Monitor and analyse sales performance metrics, providing actionable insights and driving improvements.
  • Oversee key account management, ensuring client satisfaction and business continuity.
  • Coordinate operational sales budgets, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure alignment between product strategies and go-to-market execution.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and meetings as required.
  • Promote a culture of innovation, accountability, and professional development.
  • Conduct performance reviews and set KPIs in collaboration with HR and senior leadership.
  • Champion workplace safety and coordinate ongoing training initiatives.


Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, Chemistry, or related field.
  • An MBA or a Master's degree is an added advantage.
  • 7 to 10 years of progressive experience in sales management within the construction chemicals industry. FMCG backgrounds may be considered.
  • Previous experience with companies like Sika, Fosroc, Master Builders, BASF, Pidilite, Laticrete, or Chryso is strongly preferred.
  • Strong business acumen with proven P&L ownership.
  • Demonstrated success in strategy formulation, execution, and market expansion.
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Confident, proactive leader with a results-driven mindset.
  • Fluent in English with strong public speaking and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • High emotional intelligence and ability to motivate and lead diverse teams.
  • Culturally adaptable with a global business perspective.
