Senior Associate, Events

Core Accountabilities:

  • Support the Events Manager in the development of the annual events playbook
  • Arrange for EDGE’s participation, presence, sponsorship and activities in local and international defence exhibitions and other relevant events as per the agreed Marketing calendar
  • Coordinate and support end-to-end events execution, including conceptualization and design. Obtain sponsorship, manage logistics, operations and onsite inspections through appropriate project management
  • Deliver events in a timely manner and in line with EDGE leadership and client and guest expectations
  • Develop, produce and deliver event content, including proposals, communications, and event delivery
  • Ensure adherence to the budget for marketing and events activities. Ensure cost effectiveness and timely reporting
  • Maintain relationships with key personnel in event agencies such as organizers of high-profile defence exhibitions, conferences, etc.
  • Liaise with consultants, vendors, agencies, etc. as and when required

Supporting Accountabilities:

  • Specialized experience and knowledge in Events concepts and practices
  • Strong critical thinker and problem solving ability
  • Drive for execution
  • Clear and confident oral and written communicator

Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years in Events for a medium to large corporate
  • Experience in UAE or Middle East is desirable

Education:

  • Degree with strong emphasis in marketing, communications or related field
  • Certification in Events Management is preferable e.g. CSEP

Key skills:

  • MS Office
  • Knowledge of key Events metrics with the ability to track for progress
  • Knowledge of Events best practice and methodologies
  • Proficiency in the English language.
  • Knowledge of Arabic can be an advantage
