Sidewall Workshop Manager

Position Summary

STS Aviation Services is hiring a Sidewall Workshop Manager to join our growing team in Dubai. In this hands-on leadership role, you will oversee all operational aspects of the Sidewall Workshop under the Cabin Refresh program. This is an exciting opportunity to manage a skilled team, drive production excellence, and contribute to the delivery of high-quality aircraft interior solutions in a fast-paced, regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise technicians and supervisors performing maintenance, inspections, alterations, and repairs on aircraft sidewall components
• Ensure all workshop operations comply with GCAA Part 145 standards and organizational procedures
• Oversee lamination processes using LT equipment or manual techniques to meet turnaround times
• Coordinate daily with the Production Manager and other Workshop Managers to maintain updated project status and priorities
• Attend and contribute to daily production meetings with Emirates (EK), STS teams, and third-party partners
• Produce and distribute daily status reports to EK and STS program teams
• Serve as the primary point of contact for EK Duty Engineers and LAEs during assigned shifts
• Review training needs and ensure all subordinates are fully qualified for assigned tasks
• Assign work areas and responsibilities to technicians, ensuring quality and on-time completion
• Monitor attendance, approve leave requests, and maintain team scheduling
• Ensure all work documentation and records are completed accurately and on time
• Enforce clean, safe, and organized work environments within the workshop
• Actively resolve subordinate and customer concerns while upholding company policies
• Identify process inefficiencies and implement continuous improvement initiatives
• Develop and track workshop performance metrics
• Provide weekend on-call coverage as needed and support wider production needs
• Assist with coaching and performance management of team members
  
  

Skills And Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum 10 years of experience in a GCAA or EASA Part 145 maintenance environment
• Proven supervisory and inspection experience within an aviation component workshop
• Strong working knowledge of aviation regulations, workshop operations, and maintenance procedures
• Experience coordinating production schedules and managing team performance
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Effective communicator with the ability to lead, train, and motivate teams
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and general IT systems
