Site Electrical Engineer

Job Description

As a Site Electrical Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the installation, maintenance, and implementation of electrical systems and components in a variety of construction projects. Your expertise in electrical engineering will enable you to ensure that all electrical tasks are completed safely, on time, and within budget. You'll work closely with other engineers, contractors, and project managers to bring complex electrical designs to life while maintaining adherence to all regulatory and safety standards. Your role will not only enhance the efficiency and safety of the project site but will also contribute to its overall success. Whether troubleshooting complex systems or guiding the implementation of innovative solutions, your contributions will be critical to our operational goals.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the installation and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment on site.
• Collaborate with project managers to develop and execute electrical engineering plans.
• Ensure all electrical work adheres to local, state, and national safety standards.
• Conduct site inspections to evaluate the progress and quality of electrical work.
• Prepare and review technical reports, project documentation, and proposals.
• Coordinate with contractors and subcontractors to facilitate electrical installations.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance for complex electrical problems.
• Monitor project timelines and budgets, ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Assist in the training and supervision of junior engineers and electrical technicians.
• Implement energy-saving measures and sustainable electrical solutions whenever possible.
• Utilize electrical engineering software to design and simulate electrical system performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field is required.
• Minimum of three years' experience in electrical engineering within construction sectors.
• Proficiency with electrical engineering software such as AutoCAD and MATLAB.
• Strong understanding of electrical codes, standards, and safety protocols.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously under tight deadlines.
