We are seeking a highly skilled Software Architect to design and lead the development of our next-generation body worn platform solutions. This role requires a strong foundation in software architecture, deep knowledge of hardware systems, and experience integrating AI and machine learning into scalable, high-performance platforms. You will collaborate cross-functionally with hardware, software, and data teams to architect systems that power intelligent applications across diverse environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and own the end-to-end architecture of scalable platform solutions, ensuring seamless integration between software and hardware components.
• Lead platform design and development, balancing performance, scalability, security, and maintainability.
• Collaborate with hardware engineering teams to optimize software for specific hardware architectures (edge devices, GPUs, accelerators, embedded systems).
• Design and implement AI/ML frameworks and infrastructure, enabling efficient data processing and model deployment.
• Provide technical leadership on system architecture, infrastructure, API design, and data pipelines.
• Evaluate and select appropriate technologies, frameworks, and tools to meet both business and technical requirements.
• Conduct performance profiling, optimization, and debugging at both software and hardware levels.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, security practices, and regulatory requirements.
• Mentor engineering teams on best practices in architecture design, software development, and AI integration.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies in hardware, AI/ML, and distributed systems to keep the platform future-proof.
  
  

Education And Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Ph.D. is a plus.
• Proven experience (7+ years) as a Software Architect, Platform Engineer, or similar role.
• Deep knowledge of hardware systems, such as CPUs, GPUs, FPGAs, and other accelerators.
• Strong experience in AI/ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, ONNX) and model deployment pipelines.
• Expertise in systems programming (C/C++, Rust) and high-level languages (Python, Go, Java).
• Familiarity with edge computing, embedded systems, and real-time OS is a strong plus.
• Solid understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Hands-on experience with data processing pipelines, distributed systems, and API design.
• Knowledge of security best practices at both hardware and software levels.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to make architecture trade-offs in complex systems.
• Strong communication skills to engage with cross-functional teams and executive stakeholders.
• Prior experience Autonomous systems, high-performance computing or in IoT platforms.
• Familiarity with hardware-software co-design and accelerator-based AI solutions.
• Knowledge of ASIC/FPGA design flows and hardware simulation/emulation tools.
