Senior Associate – Spend Review

We are seeking an experienced and driven Senior Associate to join our Spend Review team. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting thorough spend reviews and developing actionable recommendations to help our clients optimize their costs and improve profitability. As a Senior Associate - Spend Review, you will collaborate closely with client stakeholders, analyze financial data, and provide valuable insights to drive informed decision-making.

Responsibilities:

• Support defining the yearly Spending Review calendar and its alignment with the overall budget cycle, in close coordination with the relevant teams of the Budget Sector.
• Suggest details of spending review proposals, including their rationale and wider implications.
• Support the process of defining KPIs and objectives.
• Stay abreast of relevant publications from leading institutions (e.g. World Bank, IMF, OECD) and factors relevant findings into Abu Dhabi’s Spending Review process.
• Support the integration of spending reviews within the budget process.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial analysis, cost management, or management consulting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex financial data and identify cost optimization opportunities.
• Proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and visualization tools.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Strong project management abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and build relationships with clients and colleagues.
• Knowledge of industry-specific cost drivers and best practices in spend analysis and cost optimization.
• Professional certifications such as Certified Management Accountant (CMA) or Certified Financial Analyst (CFA) are desirable.
